The Scientific Society of Economists was founded in 2002 at the initiative of the late Prof. Dr. Branko Horvat (see more). The Society was established with the aim of bringing together economists and other experts interested in promoting, developing, and advancing economic science.
The activities of the Society include:
– developing and advancing economic science,
– assisting with and proposing solutions to Croatia's economic problems,
– cooperating with other similar societies in the country and abroad,
– organizing scientific forums and other public scientific events,
– organizing annual scientific conferences,
– serving as a platform for the exchange of scientific information.
